Classic Picture Frame - Issue No.129

 Jewelry Chest-on-Chest
from Woodsmith No.144
Tom F

This jewelry chest from Woodsmith No. 144
is a gift for Tom's sister-in-law. He built it from mahogany, which is the first time he's used it. And it's his first project with drawers. It looks like a great success.
He made the drawer sides with a contrasting "wormy" maple and lined them with red velvet (check out the detail photos).
The chest was stained using rosewood water-based stain and finished with 6 coats of satin lacquer.
