Pine Box

I made this box out 3/4" thick x 5-1/2" wide tongue & groove heart pine flooring. It is a Christmas gift for a friend. The wood comes from a remodeling job at his house. I asked his wife to bring me some scrap pieces. The grooves on the top and bottom of the box are the grooves from the bottom of the flooring. I thought is it would give the box a nice design element. The finish is two coats of Fruitwood Danish oil. I then buffed the box out with wax.
