In order to do my own electrical work I had to sign a form at the permit office stating that I was not renting, leasing or selling the home and that it was my primary residence.  I had a great inspector for the electrical work. If I had any questions he told me to call him. I passed all my electrical inspections with only forgetting a few very small items. They were small enough that he did not fail me, but checked them next time he came out to make sure I had done them. I have the power turned on to the shop now. It is great!! The pictures below show some of the wiring details.
